Like most people I'm also intrigued by stone circles... Those ancient and very spiritual sites are so mysterious and hide so many secrets... It is great to have a card from the worlds largest known stone ring and even older than the more famous Stonehenge.... Certainly on my wishlist for a visit!:)
Avebury in Wilshire. 1. The Cove of Avebury is two closely placed stones which may have been the entrance to a ceremonial area. 2. The areal view clearly shows England's largest henge monument. 3. Silbury Hill nearby is the largest man made hill in Britain and is nearly 5000 years old. 4. Sheep echo the stomes inside the Henge.
