CAYMAN ISLANDS ~ Queen Elizabeth II Botanic Park - Grand Cayman ~

... Nice postcard showing the visitor centre of the park... a two-story Caymanian style building with a wide, welcoming veranda... inside is a gift shop where you can pick up a free map of the park... from there you are welcome to stroll into a verdant courtyard graced with orchids and tropical plants surrounding a water feature and stepping stones... this Botanic Park was opened in 1994 to preserve and promote local flora, fauna and wildlife in its natural habitat... it is home to the Blue Iguana Conservation facility and is the only place in the world where you can see these magnificent creatures... the endangered Blue Iguana is only found on the island of Grand Cayman... card was mailed in February and arrived yesterday... took a long time to get here😊... Thanks a lot Glenn! ( ˘ ³˘)❤

  1. I guess better late than never are the key words here. I posted 16 cards in the Cayman Islands that day . To my knowledge yours is the first to arrive. You have heard the expression - slow boat to China, well I guess it was a slow boat or plane to everywhere. But in the end , I am happy it has arrived.
