.... Lovely view of Clare College a beautiful riverside College... Cambridge’s second oldest campus and it boasts nearly 700 years of academic achievement... situated in the very heart of the city, these elegant limestone stone buildings and gardens of Clare extend to both sides of the river forming part of the famed Cambridge "Backs" (the back of the colleges that overlook the River Cam)... it is consistently one of the most popular Cambridge colleges among prospective applicants and home to students from all backgrounds and from all over the world... ...Thanks a lot Josep&Assumpta! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Clare College is one of the colleges of the University of Cambridge, England. It opened in 1326. Its first name was University Hall but it was changed to Clare Hall in 1338. This was because Elizabeth de Clare, granddaughter of Edward I, gave money to the college. In 1856 it changed name again to its current one.
