Nice aerial view of the Volkswagen Arena football stadium located in the "Allerpark"... one of the most frequently visited leisure attractions in the Braunschweig-Wolfsburg region... this modern stadium is home to VfL Wolfsburg... it was opened in 2002 and named after the automotive group Volkswagen AG... the Volkswagen Arena has a capacity of 30,000 of which 22,000 seats and 8,000 standing places... the most striking feature of the stadium is its sophisticated roof... it was designed as a truss-supported membrane structure... the membrane is translucent, aims to improve the atmosphere in the stadium for the spectators and supports the natural growth of the grass on the pitch...with great matching Wolfsburgs postmark👍... celebrating the Philatelist Club 75th Anniversary... Wolfsburg is a city in the German state of Lower Saxony most known for hosting the headquarters of Volkswagen Group. While the castle that gave the city its name is as old as 1302, the city has been essentially created only in the 20thC around the original Volkswagen factory.
