Wonderful LOTR postcard😍 issued to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of one of the greatest fantasy epics of all time turned into a masterpiece of a movie🎥... an amazing storyline based on a great novel... the cast is good, the effects (even today), the music is fantastic, the story and characters are totally brilliant... and the landscapes and scenery in this movie are breathtaking... for a movie that was released 20 years ago, The Fellowship of the Ring and the entirety of Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy still looks amazing... one of the few movies that I will watch over and over again... I absolutely LOVE them❤️... I'm so happy to have one of the six unique maximum cards (pre-paid postcards)... each card has a gummed stamp affixed on front with special "first day of Issue LOTR postmark"... and includes pre-paid postage to anywhere in the world...Thanks a million Susan! The river scene was filmed at the Shotover River, which flows through the rocky gorge Skippers Canyon, near Queenstown."
The new 20th anniversary set postcards features original paintings by Wellington artist Sacha Lees, who was an illustrator, sculptor and concept artist on the Jackson films.
