GERMANY ~ Ingolstadt ~

... Plenty of nice city views of one of the greenest cities of Bavaria... in this historic old town you can find wonderful old restored gabled houses, beautiful squares, magnificent buildings and impressive fortifications.... home to the first Bavarian state university founded here in 1472.... this university was considered the medical and scientific center of Europe... the former university of Ingolstadt served as the setting to Mary Shelley’s novel “Frankenstein”.... the main character of the story (Dr. Frankenstein) studied and conducted his experiments here... also known for being the headquarters of Audi... one of Germany’s leading carmakers and has a big visitor complex next to its factory... with as always a great special postmark👍... the Massey Ferguson Tractor...Thanks a lot Dustin!¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Ingolstadt is a city in the German state of Bavaria, the southern most state in Germany and lies along the Danube and Schutter rivers.

First mentioned in  806 as "Ingoldes stat", the place of Ingold. Circa 1250, Ingolstadt was granted city status.
