... Nice view of one of the most renowned archaeological museums in Central Europe... home of the world-famous Nebra Sky Disc... a circular bronze plate with gold symbols that is somewhere between 3,700 and 4,100 years old... it's the world's oldest known concrete representation of the sky and simply magical... the key aspect of its permanent and special exhibitions is human evolutionary and cultural history, which first became tangible in Central Germany around 450,000 years ago... for anybody interested in the history of human beings from the stone ages onwards, this museum is an absolutely must see... with football stamp and special football postmark... for the football lovers, (I'm not one of themđ) the 2021 Euro final is tonight live on TV (England vs Italy)...Thanks Dustin!【ă】
Founded in Naumburg in 1819, it was moved to Halle in 1825, and within Halle to its present location in 1918.
The exhibition is divided into six sections, including "Intellectual Power", "Brilliant Bronze" and "Species Switch", which take visitors on a chronological journey through almost 400,000 years of history, from the start of the Stone Age to the Early Roman Empire.
