GERMANY ~ Archaeological Museum - Hamburg ~

... Interesting object from the museum... mobility through the millennia... in more than 100 years of the museum’s history, this Archaeological Museum has evolved from the historical museum of the town of Harburg to the archaeological state museum of Hamburg... today it is one of the most important archaeological museums in Northern Germany... the permanent exhibition covers two main subjects: the archaeology of Northern Germany and the history of Harburg... with nice special postmark celebrating the 250th anniversary of Albrecht Ludwig Berblinger👍... Thanks Dustin!!【ツ】

The origins of the Archaeological Museum Hamburg and Town Museum Harburg date back to the Museum Association for the Town and District of Harburg, founded in 1898. The association’s goal was to establish a museum for the then Prussian town and the rural district of Harburg.
