GERMANY ~ Museum August Kestner - Hanover ~

... Nice view of the oldest museum of the State Capital founded more than 120 years ago... surrounded by a listed glass-concrete facade (1961)... inside there are still parts of the stairwell and the side wings as well as almost the entire entrance facade of the original first museum building... it shows 6000 years of applied art in four areas: ancient and Egyptian cultures, applied art from the Middle Ages to modern design and one of the largest collections of coins and medals in Northern Germany...  besides its permanent collection, the Museum also hosts a variety of special exhibitions throughout the whole year... but also this museum is closed for now and will reopen in April... with as usual a great special postmark about the "180th anniversary of the first stamp in Prussia"👍... Thanks a lot Dustin!【ツ】
