GUADELOUPE

... Stunning views of another brand new country for me💙👍... one more Caribbean tropical paradise🌞😎... palm-fringed beaches rim the coastline... lush forests, beautiful mountain scenery, waterfalls, hot springs and an active volcano... it has some of the best diving spots in the world thanks to the crystal clear waters, wonderful coral, stunning wildlife and captivating ship wrecks... driving through Guadeloupe means you will be in the middle of sugar cane fields one minute, beaches the next and be surrounded by forest trees a short drive later... a blend of natural beauty and rich Creole and French culture... Thanks so much Andrene! ♥(ˆ⌣ˆԅ)

Guadeloupe is a group of nine inhabited islands in the southern Caribbean Sea and an overseas department of the country France. As with the other overseas departments Guadeloupe is part of the European Union.

It belongs to a group of islands known as the Leeward Islands which are part of the Lesser Antilles island chain.

The Guadeloupe Archipelago includes the large islands of Basse-Terre and Grande-Terre, the nearby islands of Marie-Galante, La Désirade, Îles des Saintes and numerous smaller islands.

The Amerindian inhabitants called Guadeloupe “Karukera” which means “Island of Beautiful Waters”.
