MONACO ~ Royals ~

... Next two great postcards are coming from Monaco... *THE* place where the rich and famous meet for their vacations... it has the world’s highest number of millionaires and billionaires per capita... nice postcard issued as an official souvenir for the Monaco royal wedding in 2011... the wedding between Albert II, Prince of Monaco, and Charlene Wittstock took place on 1 and 2 July at the Prince's Palace of Monaco... it has been described as Monaco's "biggest party in 55 years", in other words, the biggest since the wedding of Albert's parents, Rainier III and Grace Kelly...  Prince Albert and Wittstock first met in 2000 at a swimming competition in Monaco in which she was participating... with wonderful cancellation of the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco and its commitment to protect sea turtles💚... Big Thanks Gian Luca and Raffaella !\_(♥‿♥)_/

The Principality of Monaco is the second smallest country in the world after Vatican City. Monaco’s total area is only 2 square kilometres, nestled between Alps mountainside and Mediterranean Sea, bordered by France.

The Grimaldi family has ruled Monaco for more than 600 years since 1297 before Monaco officially became a sovereign state. The royal family name comes from its Genoese founder, Grimaldo.
