UK ~ Palace House - Hampshire ~

... Springtime on a beautiful postcard with masses colorful daffodils blooming...  and early Spring has arrived here too... yesterday we had the highest temperatures ever in February "17°C"😲... it is a lived-in palace house and one of the Treasure Houses of England... a collection of 10 of the most impressive stately homes, palaces and castles open to the public... Palace House was one of the first historic houses to open to the public.... visiting this grand mansion is like stepping back in time and the staff are dressed in period costumes... Beaulieu Palace House is located in Beaulieu, Hampshire, England. Originally built as the Great Gatehouse of Beaulieu Abbey, this house was built in the 13thC. The house has belonged to a branch of the Montagu Family since 1592. Beaulieu is still home to the current Lord and Lady Montagu.

The site, encompassing the ruins of the Beaulieu Abbey complex, Palace House and the world famous National Motor Museum with a collection of over 250 historic vehicles.

The gardens include the fragrant Victorian Flower Garden, the informal Wilderness Garden, dating back to the 1770s, and the Victorian Kitchen Garden.
