SINGAPORE ~ Painting Class - National Gallery ~

 ... Postcard nr2 is showing a lovely oil painting artwork “Painting Class” by Lim Yew Kuan’s... his works includes drawing, oil painting, woodblock prints and sculpture... he was the founding president of the Equator Art Society and the second principal of the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore’s first art school...  the National Gallery is the largest visual arts venue and largest museum in Singapore... The National Gallery Singapore is an art gallery situated in Singapore’s Civic District.

Opened on 24 November 2015, it oversees the world’s largest public collection of Singapore and Southeast Asian art, consisting of over 8,000 artworks.

The Gallery consists of two national monuments, the former Supreme Court Building and City Hall, that have been beautifully restored and transformed into this exciting venue and has a combined floor area of 64,000 square metres.
