MALAYSIA ~ National Museum ~

... Beautiful museum building view... maybe not the biggest, most modern museum you will ever see, but nonetheless a great place to learn about the rich culture and history of Malaysia... they showcase the timeline of early human civilization towards the colonial era and then the modern Malaysia... the museum includes an outdoor section containing a gorgeous traditional raised house, ancient burial poles from Sarawak, steam locomotives...  and what a coincidence Jobbo used  a lovely "Golden Retriever" used as Guide dog stamp... my favorite dog breedツ... we have one, she is 5 years old and called Mira🐕! Thanks a lot Jobbo!!¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Malaysia National Museum is located on Jalan Damansara and was built on the former site of Selangor Museum. The new Museum was officially opened in 1963 after 4 years construction. The exhibits are arranged in 4 galleries (The Prehsitory Gallery, The Malay Kingdoms Gallery, The Colonial Era Gallery an Malaysia Today Gallery) covering 2 floors.

The murals illustrating Malaysian historical events and culture in the style of batik painting complete the decoration of the 362 foot long main facade. The museum boasts of 26 concrete pillars that are positioned to reflect the features of a traditional Malay Palace.
