MALAYSIA ~ Sultan Abdul Samad Building - Kuala Lumpur

... Great view of a historical landmark in the city center surrounded by high-rise buildings... a big mosque with beautiful architecture...  the most important tourist attractions... the building serves as a backdrop for many important events for the country... Thanks a lot Jobbo!!ヽ(ヅ)ノ

The Sultan Abdul Samad Building (named after the 4th Sulatan of Selangor - Sultan Abdul Samad ibni Raja Abdullah (1857-1898)) was built in 1897, and designed by the architect A.C. Norman.

The building was originally constructed to house the Secretariat offices of Selangor. It is now converted into the office of the Ministry of Information, Communication and Culture.

Constructed entirely of brick, the building features strong Gothic, western and Moorish-style influences with an imposing porch, graceful arches, curved colonnades topped with shiny copper domes and an imposing 41.2m high clock tower.
