SRI LANKA ~ Devon Falls ~

... Another lovely view of one the many waterfalls around the island... also known as a waterfall paradise... situated in the hills, roads and a tea castle gives it a wonderful surrounding... Devon Falls is one of the most popular waterfall in the country specially due its clear view from the popular Hatton Nuwara Eliya Road... Thanks a lot Ravindra!! ❁◕ ‿ ◕❁

Devon Falls is a 97 m (318 ft) fall lying off the Hatton-Nuwara Eliya road, just outside Talawakele.

It is the country's 19th tallest and lies on the Kotmale Oya, which is a tributary of the Mahaweli, Sri Lanka's longest river.

This fall gets the name because of the pioneer British coffee planter, Mr. Devon whose cultivations and plantations are nearby the fall. This 97 m high cascade is above 1159 m from sea level.
