AUSTRALIA ~ Forbes - New South Wales ~

... Great typical rural view on many local farms... early morning  sunrise onto the Eucalypts or gum trees... the sight and smell of eucalypts are a defining part of Australian life... Thanks a lot Sioux!!❁◕ ‿ ◕❁

Forbes is substantial rural settlement on the banks of the Lachlan River in the Parkes region of New South Wales.

This former gold mining town is situated 386 kilometres by road from Sydney. Numerous substantial Victorian-style buildings constructed in the wake of the gold rush remain in the town today.

The indigenous inhabitants of the Forbes area were the Wiradjuri Aboriginal people.
