ANDORRA

...Nice "surprise" multiview postcard sent from a tiny country in Europe...it is a co-principality, the only one of its kind in the world...Andorra is in fact the only country without its own postal system, they are operated by Spain (Correos) and France (La Poste)...both have their own stamps and mailboxes...Spanish postboxes are red and the French ones are yellow...so my postcard  came from a red boxツ...Heel erg bedankt Josep and Assumpta !! (and congrats with your dutch(>‿♥) )

The Principality of Andorra is a small sovereign landlocked country nestled in the Pyrenees mountains between France and Spain. It is one of the smallest countries in the world, with only 15 countries smaller than its 468 sq. km. (181 sq. miles).

Created under a charter in 988, the present principality was formed in 1278. It is known as a principality as it is a monarchy headed by two Co-Princes – the Roman Catholic Bishop of Urgell in Spain, and the President of France.

Andorra la Vella, is the highest capital city in Europe, being at an elevation of 1023 metres. The currency is the euro, though Andorra isn’t part of the EU. Catalan is the official language,
