THAILAND ~Chiang Mai-Wat Phrathat Doi Suthep

Another wonderful view of a sacred site to many Thai people and probably its most visited... from travelling friend Benny....Thanks once more!!

Chiang Mai is overflowing with ancient Buddhist Temples (Wats) dating back to when the city was originally founded in 1296.

Wat Phra That Doi Suthep is a Theravada Buddhist temple.  Not only is it an impressive temple filled with ancient murals and sculptures. but it’s also perched high on the side of a mountain — Doi Suthep, so it offers great views of the city of Chiang Mai below.
