FRANCE ~Corsica-Bastia ~

And as third one a nice coastal view...Thanks Dieter and Eve!

Bastia, the gateway to Corsica is located in the northeast of the island of Corsica.

Founded in 1378 by the Republic of Genoa, Bastia was the capital of the island until 1811.

It is the island's largest city and famous for its wines. Its citadel (16th—17th C) and its many 18th-century buildings are tourist attractions.
