BARBADOS ~Bridgetown-UNESCO~

... This wonderful postcard says it all: "Beautiful Bridgetown"...my second postcard from this exotic Caribbean island...but Barbados is so much more than beach, sun and sea...

Barbados is a sovereign island country in the Lesser Antilles. It is 34 kilometres (21 mi) in length and as much as 23 kilometres (14 mi) in width.

Barbados Parliment is the 3th oldest in the Commonwealth after those of England and Bermuda.

St Michael's Anglican Cathedral.
Upper right:
Statue of Admiral Nelson ( in honour of his visit to the island four months before he was killed at Trafalgar.)
