GERMANY ~Weilburg's Castle~

Got a nice castle view (DE-779626)!

Weilburg’s impressive and expansive castle complex right at its heart dominates the town. It is a Renaissance and Baroque influenced castle which was built for the Nassau-Weilburg family in various stages. Construction started in 1533 and lasted until 1573, then in the 17th century the Baroque additions were made, including much of the current interior of the castle. The castle is now open as a museum of history, and you can also visit parts such as the Hofkirche chapel, and the Obere Orangerie which is used for temporary exhibitions.
