BELGIUM ~Damme~

Received a lovely Belgian postcard from Johan! I find it always nice to show beautiful places from my own country! Often we only see the beauty of things far away and miss all the beauty around us!!

...Damme,that's Flanders in a nutshell, where every stone tells its medieval story and reflects the Burgundian glory of long ago...

The town hall remains as a token of the earlier economic strength of Damme. Built in 1464-68 by Gottfried de Bosschere, it is an excellent example of late Gothic architecture.
