GERMANY

Sent by my hushband during his four days motorbike trip to Germany with a friend! This Mosel area seems to be very popular amongst bikers with many speciale hotels for them to stay ...

The 545-km (325-mile) Mosel River is one of the longest tributaries of the Rhine. It is a meandering river with a steep valley often more dramatic than the wider Rhine. Like the Rhine, its valleys are planted with vines and castles lurk at every twist and turn. Driving through the valley is slow, due to all the river curves, but rewarding. The natural beauty of the valley is awesome and many picture-perfect villages are strewn along the way.

  1. It is very nice that in this area, in the past 2 centuries theatre of battles and world wars , nowadays different peoples have learnt to live in peace and without borders.
    Best wishes!
