UKRAINE ~St Sophia Cathedral-UNESCO~

.... Two totally different and UNESCO cards today, but both really impressive views. Ukraine must be my fastest growing collection!:-) Card nr 4 this week!!!
On the back of the China card: " Fairyland at West Sea" I think that says it all... Even the stamp shows the mountain.

The St Sophia's Cathedral mosaics and frescos are almost one thousand years. The mosaic image of ORANTA is a unique masterpiece. (View on postcard)The interior of the Cathedral is as majestic as its exterior. It is divided by huge piers into five aisles, three of which end in altar apses. In the south-western corner, inside the tower, there is a wide spiral in relatively small, modest buildings of the 12th - 16th centuries. It’s mosaics and frescos are almost one thousand years. The mosaic image of Oranta is a unique masterpiece
