This imposing work of art by Thomas Crawford is said to be the finest equestrian statue in the world. The monument forms a constellation of seven famous Virginia sons. George Washington is the Central luminary surrounded by Patrick Henry, George Mason, Thomas Jefferson, John Marshall, Thomas Nelson,Jr., and Andrew Lewis.
