The inside of the Tower of Hercules conserves an important part of its original Roman construction as can be observed in the building's foundations which are partially buried in the huge platform surrounding the base of the building and also in the building itself comprised of four rectangular vaulted rooms on three levels rising to the base of the octagonal-shaped room of the top floor which was added at the time of the restoration undertaken by Eustaquio Giannini during the reign of Charles III.
