Sent by Hilary. For at least 3500 years the people of Newfoundland an Labrador have enjoyed the company of orcas (killer whale). During much of the 20 century these whales were hunted, used for military target practise and captures for marine aquariums. With the end of this inernational persecution, the orca is an increassingly frequent highlight of 'Wildlife Tours' escorted holidays.
